Where I come from, Santa has a red warm winter coat and a white beard and pink skin. Oh, and he arrives on foot. So imagine my surprise some 30 - ahem - years ago, when I learnt that in some countries Santa's skin is dark, he wears swimming gear and arrives on a surf board... or in a rowing boat... or in a sleigh pulled by reindeer for that matter.
